A family business, started in 2020
Dal Beggs filed 1 Call Restoration with the State of Florida in April 2020 and built it around a simple idea: when your house is wet, you should be able to reach the person responsible. He runs the company with his son, and customers mention the two of them by name in their reviews.
We are a small, locally owned company on purpose. You will not reach a call center or a franchise dispatcher. The number on this site goes directly to our owner, and you can expect a quick response when you need us most.
How Dal describes the work
This is how the business describes itself on its Google profile, in Dal's words:
We strive to provide the very best customer experience in our industry. No high pressure sales approach. We simply show up and assess your damages, provide you with an estimate and yes, we can walk you through the process of filing an insurance claim should you decide that is best for you.
That is the whole model. The assessment and estimate are free on water damage and mold projects. If you decide to do nothing, or to call someone else, that is your decision to make.

What you can expect from us
Five things stay the same on every call.
- You talk to the owner. Call any time with an emergency. For non-emergency calls, Dal prefers 7am to 7pm.
- We measure instead of guessing. Moisture meters and thermal imaging show where the water went.
- You get it in writing. The scope and estimate come before heavy work starts.
- We leave a paper trail. Photos, a moisture map and daily readings go into the job file, which your adjuster can use. The kit behind those readings is moisture meters, thermal imaging, air movers, LGR dehumidifiers and HEPA air scrubbers.
- We explain everything. Reviewers bring this up more than anything else, usually because the first 24 hours of a water loss are confusing and stressful.

What we will not do
Some things are not our job, and saying so up front saves trouble later.
We do not read your policy or tell you what your insurer should pay. In Florida those are jobs for your insurer, a licensed public adjuster or an attorney. We do provide the documentation and explain our own estimate.
We do not sell mold testing on jobs we would remediate. Florida separates mold assessment from mold remediation, so independent testing comes from an independent licensed assessor.
We do not offer to cover a deductible, and you should be wary of anyone who does.
Talk to the owner, not a call center
Open 24 hours for emergencies. Non-emergency calls are best between 7am and 7pm.

Where we work
We are based in the St. Augustine area and work across St. Johns County and the neighboring counties of Flagler, Putnam, Duval, Clay and Volusia. This coast gives water plenty of ways into a home: about 116 rain days a year, hurricanes, nor'easters and tidal flooding, plus homes ranging from historic downtown stock to brand-new builds.

Check us out before you hire us
You should check any company before you sign, and that includes us. Read our Google reviews, ask for the license number and proof of insurance, and look the number up on the Florida DBPR license search. Ask for the estimate line by line. A good company will not mind.
